CoE – Improving the child justice system in Slovenia

The projectImproving the juvenile justice system and strengthening the education and training of penitentiary staff in Slovenia” aims to support the Slovenian authorities in their efforts to improve the juvenile justice and penitentiary systems in line with European and international standards and good practices. 

I collaborated, as a child justice international expert, providing research, technical and methodological advice. I co-drafted the methodology for the research as well as the questionnaire to collect promising practices among CoE member states, and then co-drafted the Comparative study of European standards and promising practices with targeted recommendations for the Slovenian context.

    CoE Capacity-building activity on the good practices identified in the Comparative Study of European standards and promising Practices on youth justice

    I co-prepared and co-facilitated the capacity building activity hosting 20 multi-disciplinary professionals from the Slovenian youth justice system.

    I presented the methodology for the comparative study of European standards and promising practices on youth justice, and conducted individual interviews with key stakeholders in the Slovenian youth justice system.
